SPOILERS

The Mooners all talk like they're in a cult and I hate it. It's stilted and awkward to listen to. Much like the plot.

I like the actress playing Bella but otherwise this show is not good.

Who would think this utopia would work on Earth? Pulleying the old woman into the trree is almost funny.

So little happens. This could easily have been a 90 minute movie.

It's just predictable and dull. Except the cyborg arm. That was a decent twist. Pun intended.

This was gorgeous. I loved the storytelling and the acting. The sets are so well thought out.

The second season was better than the first. I liked the structure of moving them from year to year. I didn't expect to like the Imperials but I did. Dedra in particular.

Andor himself is a very charismatic protagonist.

Luthen Rael is interesting. Of the stuff Disney Star Wars does, making the Alliance so splintered is my favorite. Luthen's death kicking off Andor's need to look up to the man landed well.

I like the tricks they use to show the passage of time but I have some ethical concerns about the use of CGI to age people up and down. Paradise shows they're definitely doing both.

Overall, I really liked this series where I had a hard time with the Mandalorian.
SPOILERS

I finally got around to watching season 5. I had less patience for seasons 3 and 4 this time.

I don't like Shaw's makeup but the simulation loop she's going through is a nice parallel to what the Machine went through when she got captured.

Root's death is handled well. I like the conceit with having Amy Acker show up for some of the emotional beats with the Machine.

On the other hand, I don't like the ethics on showing an anthropomorphic AI. They don't have conscience, they have harm mitigation strategies. They don't have friends, they have users. They don't have personalities. They don't care about people.

But they can be programmed to sift extemporaneous speech for threats.

I like the Machine spinning out what might have happened if she hadn't intervened. I like Reese's death.

Overall, it's good but has worrying implications for how people interact with and project onto AI.
SPOILERS

I love this series!

I love the books too but the lore building is tantalizingly mythic. That Bavmorda might have been descended from dark fairies makes so much sense. Kit defying her blood is a plot I am very invested in. She's everything I would want from an onscreen Jaina Solo appearance complete with actually saving her twin.

I like that the Elora reveal comes early. I love the High Aldwyn winking tricks.

Less enthused about how little backstory we get on the bad guys.

Greedon is such a good character and that cliffhanger is a killer.

Kit and Jade are super cute and I love them.

10/10
