A Timely List
Feb. 23rd, 2026 10:17 amSupernatural seasons ordered by how much I like them.
1) Season 2: I like the vibe. The tone is consistent and it has the most episodes I rewatch. The finale is stellar. It introduces so many things that the rest of the series builds on: demon deals, werewolves, djinn, the Colt. I enjoy the subplot with the FBI.
2) Season 5: very coherent storytelling. Some of the episodes I rewatch the most. Big, emotional beats like deaths for Jo and Ellen. Lucifer winning in the setup with Zachariah. My favorite TFW lineup. Excellent finale.
3) Season 4: another very coherent season on a theme level. Introduces Chuck and the angels. I love the premiere and finale and most episodes in between. I love what they did with Ruby.
4) Season 8: I love the structure of it. The timeskipping and coming toba meeting place. The lore usage was fun. I didn't really like the finale but there are a bunch of really fun episodes. And I like Kevin Tran's and Charlie Bradbury's contributions
5) Season 10: I loved the Mark of Cain arc. I could have done without Charlie dying but I liked the concept of the Stynes. Rowena still annoyed me at this point and I'm just not that interested in Crowley.
6) Season 1: several very rewatchable episodes. The stories that kicked it all off. A little loose in the coherence as it finds its feet. I love the introduction of Meg.
7) Season 3: messy from the Writers' strike but what a finale. Victor Henriksen really shines. Too bad the FBI plot ended here.
8) Season 15: some very rewatchable episodes. Actually got me to care about Sam for the first time since s8. Finale was not great but I liked almost all the beats leading to it.
9) Season 7: I loved the Leviathan plot but hated the way Castiel got yanked around. A few rewatchable episodes
10) Season 12: a fun season. I'm not offended that they brought Mary back. She's more interesting than the British Men of Letters
11) Season 11: uneven where they switched showrunners. A good goodbye for Chuck and Metatron. I liked Amara but again, not excited about Crowley.
12) Season 14: fun, just a little dull. Mary's death is handled so well
13) Season 13: as a connoisseur of multiverse stories, I hate the Apocalypse World. I don't hate Jack but I feel very neutrally about how they handle his amorality. I like the idea but the execution of him as a whole frustrated me
14) Season 9: kinda boring. A few fun episodes like Cas being possessed.
15) Season 6: incoherent handoff. A couple fun episodes like The Man Who Would Be King but I don't like too many things about the setup. I get why the French Mistake is so popular but I was kinda meh on it.
